I would like to share some thoughts with you today.

Recently a Dear Spiritual Brother of mine posed a question on The Luminous Garden forum that caught my attention.

He is a man of great spiritual energy and one who truly contemplates those things of a most spiritual realm.

Being as such, he often asks questions that will elicit me to thinking. We often converse on topics just such as this one.

What follows is my answer to his original question of the subject of Balance, and Good and Evil.

I offer this article for your simple consideration and to share one more perspective on the subject.

Do you think “balance” is the normal way of the universe or can you imagine a universe where there is no imbalance to require balance.

Once we “tip” the scales….do we need balance?

I can’t imagine we do and yet it is the accepted norm that we need to have good and evil.

To begin; to answer your first question, “Can you imagine a universe where there is no imbalance to require balance?”

Yes, I can. As a matter of fact, I believe that universe, and many other Universes exist beyond our own. I can imagine a Universe where no imbalance exists, but I would think it would be very much different than our own; in many ways, different laws of physics, different biological life forms and different Spiritual life forms, etc. But that is my imagination! Therefore a creation of my thoughts! See how many Universes can exist?

Balance……?

Good and Evil…… Balance and Imbalance?

Going on the presumption that we agree with the concept we currently exist in a Universe that was birthed within, and adheres to Laws of Duality, then it would only be logical to expect both types of energy to be a necessity in our Universe. It would also be logical to presume that both types of energy are necessary for birthing new portions, or pieces of our Universe; the comingling of positive and negative energy, masculine and feminine, good and evil, etc.

But…. once again, the concepts of good and evil are man made; or let’s not be so confining in our thought on this and stop limiting and crediting “Man”, as in humankind, as being the creator of this idea and energy of evil. Let’s say instead that the energy that this concept is created from, and even the acceptance of, “Good and Evil” as the concepts we adhere to as real, were brought into existence by the thought forms of “Individual Spirit”. Maybe we can even go so far as to say that this energy was brought into existence within our realm with the very first spark that removed itself, moved out from, Original Source. Maybe it is the “Individuation of Spirit” that created the whole energy that allows for the concept of “Evil” in the first place. But not “evil” in the sense we consider the meaning of that word to hold, at least not what we are talking about as the “original evil”. What we are talking about here as the “original evil” is a simple counter-spin to the movement of Original Source, not evil as we humans use the word to label actions, deeds and, even thoughts, that are culturally, morally, religiously and spiritually unacceptable.

Just for the sake of argument, let’s say…. Original Source spins clockwise and Individualized Spirit spins counterclockwise; thus creating the energy of evil or Imbalance.

Now….. if this first Spark of Individualized Spirit brought into existence with its birth, the counter-spin to Original Source then the interplay of the two might look something like this….

Sort of the energy of a dual star system as they dance around each other.

Yet if we move to that center point of stillness where the two once again become ONE, then we find the place of balance, if only briefly on our journey on the pathe of this dance.

Personally I tend to feel that we exist within a Universe that, just like us, expands and contracts with each Universal breath, and with each expansion and contraction there is growth and destruction respectively. A Universe that moves between balance and imbalance, which would make chaos/imbalance/ “evil” a necessity, just as anti-matter is as much a necessity as is matter for the existence of our realm. I think this process, this energy, this “Evil” exists at all levels, and moves, responds and creates according to the level of our realm that is its domain.

Within this movement there is that place of stillness between the inhalation and the exhalation where “Balance” exists; just like in our process of breathing. This is the place Guru’s and Yogi’s are always speaking of, and why they teach breath work is so important to our learning and growth process.

In the workings of a Universe that contracts and expands; moves between balance and imbalance, chaos/imbalance/ “evil” are as necessary for expansion as are the energies of balance, possibly even more so; because for expansion to occur, destruction, or at least partial destruction, must take place to make room for the new parts of creation. Without the resistance of the counter-spinning movement of  “evil”, there would be no forward movement, there would be no growth, there would be no contraction, no inhalation breath. Yet we need to remember that often, what looks like destruction from one perspective of our Universe is seen as creation from another. In a realm created from and existing within the energy of Duality, there is always reflection!

Balance, if left to its self too long causes stagnation. Nothing is static in our Universe. There is constant movement, either expanding or contracting; the in-breath and the out-breath. Change and movement are the ways of our realm. That place of Balance, that splendid place of stillness and peace is fleeting, to be experienced and appreciated for what it is. A place of rest and contemplation before movement begins once again into the next phase, whether it be into the breathe of expansion or the breathe of contraction.

I feel we are fortunate and blessed to be living in this particular “time” upon our planet and in our Universe. This “time” exists at the juncture on our Universal journey that is moving into that place of stillness that exists between the inhalation and the exhalation of the breath of our Universe. That place of Balance, Peace and Quiet Stillness that is so fleeting and so precious. This is a “time” WE, the Individualized sparks of Spirit that we are, have been waiting to experience, in a way that has never been experienced before in this Universe. A time of rest, peace and tranquility; one of those times we often refer to as a “Golden Age”.

Learning to control our breath, learning to be conscious of our creative powers, learning to release the expansive breath of creation in a manner that is organized, manipulated and directed, and creates in a positive manner, is the lesson of Humanity, of Individualized Spirit and of Universal Consciousness that is at hand. Up until this NOW point on our infinite journey across this Universe, humanity has been less than fully conscious in our abilities to be co-creators. What is transpiring now is us learning to participate consciously, at levels never before known to the Human Collective Consciousness, in the creation of the next expansive exhalative breath of the Universe. It is the next step in the Spiritual Evolution of the ONE.

What an amazing place to be existing in, what glorious experiences to be co-creating.

I would like to touch just briefly on the ideas, concepts and workings of what humans think of when they use the word “evil”.

The “Evil” actions, deeds and thoughts of humans, and for that matter the “Evil” actions, deed and thoughts of other Individualized forms of Spirit, (i.e. what we perceive of as non-human and/or non-physical forms of Spirit), are the results of freewill and misused energies. They are the result of ego gone awry. Remember this is a realm of freewill. That freewill extends beyond humans.

Were, what we think about when we speak of “evil” necessary forms of expression of the resistance energy of Individualized Spirit in order for the expansion of our Universal Consciousness to occur?

I would have to say the answer to that question is Yes… and No…

Just as each of us is traveling our individual journey of expansion back to Original Source, to the ONE, so too is the Universal Consciousness on its own Individual journey. Remember….. As Above, So Below.

I feel the same result, (that result being the arrival to ONEness), could have been reached by a journey that did not create such atrocities to humanity, as well as to nature and this planet. A much straighter, clearer and easier pathe home will lead you home just as well as will the pathe of difficulty. But…. the journey will be different.

To me, just as there are as many pathes home for humanity as there are humans who have ever existed here on this planet, so too are there this same number of infinite pathes for the Universal Consciousness to experience its self; each one as valid, as important and as real as another.

Was it, or is it, necessary for us to experience the carnage, chaos, and disorder that exist as a part of our reality, on our journey home?

Apparently so.

Why else would we as the Individualized Sparks of Spirit we are, have chosen to come here and participate in such?

Remember, this is a realm of freewill. We chose of our own accord to be a part of this play. We chose to participate in this particular reality. We must have some reason for doing so!

Great post…one I must read again but what I found hidden in it was this: maybe it is appropriate to see us, individualized spirit, as the imbalance that reflects the original source which would be what we call balance.

Maybe everything about this life except that place called stillness which is our home represents imbalance.

This would suggest that not only is there no good or evil but that there is only evil. Evil in the sense as the opposite in every way of what we really are………source.

This was very helpful Essence……….I hope I haven’t read something into it that wasn’t suggested.

As I read the second half and relate it to my comments made prior to reading it..what we see as attrocities (murder, rape, car bombing, etc) represents imbalance within the imbalance or one end of the pendulum which swings between imbalance and imbalanced imbalance.

Does that make sense?

As individualized spirit we represent imbalance and reflect perfection. As free will allows we sometimes create imbalance within the imbalance.

All is not good……..all just is.

Although I understand what you are saying here, and I even see the perspective from which you were viewing it makes this a truth, I don’t necessarily agree with it completely. There is still Original source…. which is the original movement.

You also stated:

As confusing as that sounds….lol I would have to say Yes. The second movement, which spins in opposition to Original Source, created “Original Evil”. The resistance is the counter-spin birthed of Individualized Spirit. Within this energy lies the sources necessary for lower, less awakened forms of Spirit to create and bring into manifest form the “evil” which humanity considers it to exist as.

I think this statement says alot:

“As individualized spirit we represent imbalance and reflect perfection. As free will allows we sometimes create imbalance within the imbalance.”

The amount of imbalance created by the counter-spin of Individualized Spirit, I believe, is dependent on the Freewill of Individualized Spirit. In other words, I believe WE are responsible for our own reality and what we create with it and within it.

And this statement, to me, really says it all!

“All is not good……..all just is.”
